Because 2016 is awesome that way. Not because we manage to catch real sakura but because my face was that pink. Each picture in this story tells a story of it's own. Therefore, embedded in each picture are the memories and emotions that came along in this journey. It was a crazy idea to go so far within such a short span of time, not knowing the language and... having tonnes of work to complete! But to maintain our sanity (because we can't travel in june and september for various reasons, making this trip the last trip before December), we made the crazy idea come through anyway. We were so close to giving up, as we didn't exactly have time to prepare for this trip properly as Term 1 caught us in a whirlwind, and that March holidays is too short, anddddd that we had work to do... but alhamdulillah things fell in place and we went anyway, with laptops and harddisks/thumbdrives in tow, doing work at a random cafe in the middle of a park somewhere up a hill, and on the plane. We actually planned to do work at night, not realizing that things don't always go according to plan (meaning that you get lost or the dinner place you're headed to is closed because what was meant to be a less than 1/2 hr ride became more than an hr due to the many types of train i.e. express, semi-express, local etc, and catching the last train to anywhere, and getting stranded in a pretty deserted station super late at night) and that we would have absolutely NO energy left at the end of the day. Having reached home and typing this from the comfort of bed (with your mind forever bogged that there's so much work to complete and wondering how to complete them before school reopens), it all felt like a dream. Well, all I can say is that it was a dream come true. Till the next destination.... ;)
