Pulau Perhentian - June 2014

Pulau Perhentian June 2014 (Trip to Pulau Perhentian with Liyana) 11-14 June 2014 Pulau Perhentian June 2014 - Day 1 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154236864535214&type=3 Just the two of us... Most of our pictures has been censored, so this album is pretty much just filled of fishes and corals! Once we checked in at Mohsin Chalet after a night long bus ride and all the rides that got us to the familiar island, we immediately changed into our swimming suits and off we go to a snorkeling trip! We saw a turtle, but as usual it is much faster than me (who's the slow tortoise now heh?) and so I didn't catch it on camera. There was a shark, but I was still getting used to my snorkeling gear that I didn't even explore to take a picture of it. Underwater, there exists gardens as well. Gardens of corals! I believe that they were more colourful last year, sadly... Signs of water pollution affecting our sensitive corals... :( Anyway, try to count the number of different types of fishes there are! Pulau Perhentian June 2014 - Day 2 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154236864145214&type=3 Just the two of us... Most of our pictures has been censored, so this album is pretty much just filled of fishes and corals! Since we'd gone on the snorkeling trip on Day 1, it was really free and easy on Day 2... We wanted to climb the hill but were advised against it since we're only 2 girls, and to get to the top we'd need to go through a bit of a jungle... So, we spent the whole day snorkeling! Near the rocks in the morning... And we saw a baby shark! The picture was very blur though as it was moving very fast and it was quite a distance from me and my camera. After lunch, we went searching for nemo on the other side near the jetty. Liyana and I had an objective: Catch a decent selfie of us with the fishes. Many many MANY failed attempts haha. I had another objective of my own: Being a paparazzi to the fishes and get a decent pic of each one fish close up. There are MANY types of fishes, thus the nearly 700 photos! Continue to try to count the number of different types of fishes there are! And continue to marvel at the underwater gardens! Pulau Perhentian June 2014 - Day 3-4 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154236863470214&type=3 We only had our room for 2 nights, so instead of heading home, we made plans to detour elsewhere! Since Raudah is in KL, we decided why not head there? So we researched and booked a room for 2 nights at Chitin hotel and off we go early on Day 3! Rushed for the morning boat (and almost missed it), and then for a bus to KL (we had no idea if there were any available buses or seats). We certainly had no idea that the bus ride from Kuala Besut to KL is like 10 hours long (including the accident and trip to police station)! Alhamdulillah we reached KL safely. Day 4 was spent shopping at Berjaya Times Square, Kenanga Wholesale Centre and Masjid India... My backpack was filled to the brim and I had no choice but to get myself an additional bag to bring all the goods home on Day 5. This recount does not record all the cartoon moments throughout the trip! It was certainly easier just travelling as a pair, though there are some disadvantages (like when securing for a bus at Larkin on the first night!) And all in all, I think this was a well-deserved de-stressing trip...
